The Advanced Transportation Technology and Energy program (ATTE) was created to keep California a competitive leader in advanced transportation and energy technologies by transforming the workforce in the rapidly developing, technology-driven transportation and energy industries, while improving the environment and stimulating the economy.

The ATTE Program was established by the California Community Colleges Economic and Workforce Development Program. The Statewide Initiative Director is Peter Davis.

The San Diego Miramar College ATTE Center (ATTE Miramar) is designed to provide faculty, students, and technicians with the technical education and training and resources they need to effectively learn, teach, and work with advanced transportation, energy technologies, and fuels. ATTE Miramar is dedicated to enhancing local and regional technical training and education programs. ATTE Miramar also actively supports strengthening the on-campus Automotive, Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Operations and Heavy Duty programs.
